Getting the right ‘team fit’ and attitude are as important as the skills and ability. RISC (RIG Investigator & Security Careers) is a new staffing company, built out of RIG Police Recruit, which was set up in 2003 to place former police officers back into the police force on an interim and temporary basis. Some 300 contractors and interim staff are working for clients at any time. Because the candidates are looking for interim work they are able to start work at a moment’s notice and will commit to a project as they are not looking for a permanent contract. It is important that when you take someone on a non permanent basis, you have the confidence that he or she can do the job you require from them.
