PROES, creators of SECUREPORT, have joined forces with UK maritime security consultants MUSC to support a programme of security enhancements for the ports of Spain.
PROES developed SECUREPORT, the port security assessment tool created for the National Spanish Port Administration, Puertos del Estado and used by all ports in Spain.
Carlos Sanchidrian Fernandez, President of PROES said: "We are absolutely delighted to have teamed up with MUSC. Through this alliance we aim to combine our joint experiences of international and national port security to enhance our continued close working relationship with Puertos del Estados and the regional port authorities." Christopher Austen, CEO of MUSC said: “This is a very exciting opportunity for both companies. PROES have done an outstanding job preparing 65 per cent of the facility assessments and plans for Spanish ports. We will bring to bear on the project our experience of working with governments and industry to develop and implement national maritime security plans and integrated security programmes, including schemes for financing investment in systems infrastructure and options for cost recovery.” PROES is one of the largest consultants in Spain specialising in port and civil infrastructure.
