Data Centre Comms

by msecadm4921

Ark Continuity Limited has selected AirRadio Ltd to provide communication at the Spring Park Data Centre Campus in Corsham.

Ark had a requirement for an operational radio system for use between the Security team and the Engineering department which are based within the 36 acre site at Spring Park, in north Wiltshire.

Services Manager Steve Kennedy put together the tender. He said: "Ark’s data centres have extremely high levels of security which warrants an equally robust communication solution to ensure the security guards, engineers and control offices can instantly correspond in a secure fashion from wherever they may be on site; AirRadio offered us the best solution for these requirements."

During the tender process AirRadio sent a team to Spring Park to survey the site and ensure they could match the best product and service package to Ark’s needs.

"After reviewing the multiple options presented to us, which included differing criteria such as payment schemes and products, we selected the premium option of the Motorola Radio with TRBOnet software over a five year contract. After an initial 3 month period, we can confirm that we are very happy with every element of the selection; including the price, order process, timely delivery and training."

Ark is extending its UK platform to include locations that complement and enhance the innovative and reliable data centre proposition; when adding locations Ark will definitely consider using the same system as provided by AirRadio.

About ARK Continuity

From here they deploy communications gateways, cross platform exchanges, process data and store devises to support the ever growing mobile data sector. Ark delivers risk based, multi-layered, security regimes accredited to ISO 27001 and JSP 440 (controls). These include 24 x 7 guarding, monitoring and management from onsite command centres.
