Riot Van

by msecadm4921

To assist with the identification of the individuals in Barking, east London, who are wanted by police in connection with crimes linked to the disorder of August 8 and 9, Met Police are placing an “Ad Van” in key places around the borough on a number of dates in September.

The first of these dates was Tuesday, September 13 and the van was sited in the market place at Barking Town Centre.

Police Borough Commander Matt Bell said: “I would like to reassure the community that Police will never stop looking for those who committed these crimes. If a warrant is issued for someone it will follow them around until they are finally forced to face the consequences. The smart move would be to approach the Police now and take the first step toward putting this behind them.”

Officers accompanying the van hand out leaflets in the broadcast area supplying people with the number to call if they can identify anyone shown on the screen.

The van will continue to appear at key sites around the borough throughout September.
