At the Essen show in Germany in October, manufacturer Robowatch is to present reconnaissance and defusing robots for dangerous missions.
At the Security 2006 Trade Fair, alongside applications for property protection and industrial facilities surveillance, Robowatch Technologies’ focus is on one topic: mobile robots for homeland security missions.
The German firm reports that cities represent primary targets for terrorists. Bomb threats or attacks on public transport facilities, like recently in Bombay, have unfortunately confirmed this. Mobile reconnaissance robots from Robowatch can optimise, the firm claims, the reconnaissance work of security teams deployed for disaster control and civil protection while providing protection for missions in high-risk zones.
Robowatch is showing its MOSRO and OFRO surveillance robots plus OFRO+detect and ASENDRO reconnaissance robots of modular design, with a range of applications, like gas detection, moving target detection and defusing dangerous objects. Several live presentations of our robots are planned.
General Manager, Dr Jens Hanke, will make presentations on “Mobile reconnaissance robots as part of modern homeland security concepts”, reporting also on the experiences of Robowatch and BEST Veranstaltungsdienste GmbH while safeguarding the Berlin Olympic Stadium during the recent FIFA World Cup.
