Safe And Secure Does It

by msecadm4921

A safe and secure working environment was a priority for retail and leisure property investment company, Capital & Regional plc, at their new base in London.

Creating a safe and secure working environment was a priority when retail and leisure property investment company, Capital & Regional plc, moved into their new base in London?s Victoria last year. It appointed a security company to control entry to the four-storey office block round the clock, and chose the Laminex ID Direct bureau service as the solution to providing their 80 head office staff with photo ID cards. Capital & Regional has been happy with the results and it has encouraged two other companies in the same building ? Iobox, which provides information services to mobile phone users over the internet, and the Building Information Warehouse (a construction industry data store) ? to use ID Direct for their own photo ID cards. Allan Key, Capital & Regional?s Commercial Manager said: ?We are very happy with the service from ID Direct. Each time a new member of staff joins us a digital head-and-shoulders photograph is taken which is then emailed to ID Direct. A new ID card is sent back to us the next day, printed on PVC with our logo, the employee?s name and portrait, so that the security people know exactly who is entering the building.? All the ID cards carry a magnetic stripe enabling their potential use with an electronic access control system and ID Direct also supplied a series of numbered cards for use by clients and other visitors to the building. Capital & Regional?s property portfolio includes 10 shopping centres, 10 retail parks and Xscape at Milton Keynes, housing the UK?s largest ?real? snow slope, lifestyle retailers, restaurants, concept bars, a 16-screen multiplex cinema and a climbing wall. Laminex supplies a set of digital cameras to the individual centres so that they can photograph any staff who visiting Capital & Regional?s head office regularly.
