Signalling Award

DualCom DigiPlus, the latest addition to the DualCom Range of products, was among winners at the IFSEC Industry Awards 2009, as Communication Product of the Year.

DualCom DigiPlus fits between a digital communicator and the telephone line, providing the makers say an improved and robust signalling solution. DigiPlus guarantees full compliance and future proofing for digital communicators using BT’s new 21st Century Network (21CN) by routing alarm traffic via a 300 baud modem. DigiPlus uses 0800 freefone telephone calls for all alarm and polling traffic, offering a fixed cost to varying non-geographical telephone number rates used by most UK alarm receiving centres (ARCs). CSL DualCom’s Marketing Manager Vicki Smith, pictured centre, received the award from the evening’s host, John Sergeant, right.

CSL DualCom Limited (CSL) and Vodafone are extending a partnership. CSL, the provider of signalling products has been the preferred partner of Vodafone since 1999 with agreements to use its secure Paknet and GPRS data networks.

Phil Hollett, managing Director of CSL, said: “Vodafone have proven to be an excellent partner for CSL and have always taken a long term view in terms of market development and have supported CSL when we have innovated new products with long term security in terms of our contract with them. The DigiPlus product which will eliminate any disruption from 21CN for any existing digital communicator was developed with Vodafone and both companies have taken a long term view, to make the product cost effective in these cost-conscious times.”
