The firms say that a wireless network offers a way to deploy infrastructure when no existing wired network is present. Although this solution doesn’t involve any trenching, power is still required at every wireless device. This poses a challenge in remote areas where power is not readily available. The very limited power consumption of the Fluidmesh radios makes solar power an interesting option it’s claimed, that can facilitate the deployment of the system. The integration of wireless technology and solar power offers a package which largely extends the range of possible applications. Industrial sites, remote areas, highways, seaports, and rural locations, the firms claim.
