Spectra Domes

by msecadm4921

The Pelco Spectra IV IP Series Network and SL Series integrated domes are now available through distributor Norbain.

The Spectra IV SL Series entry-level dome delivers day/night surveillance capability, allied to 540TV lines resolution and 23X optical / 12X digital zoom. Designed for applications that require quality video and control but not all the features of the Spectra IV SE series, the SL Series dome is available in, in-ceiling, surface mount, pendant, environmental in-ceiling and environmental pendant models.

Spectra IV SL Series features include autofocus, auto-flip, zone blanking, freeze-frame during presets, and built-in surge and limited lightning protection. A choice of video outputs include integrated passive UTP and the ability to add either a fibre or IP Network output capability via optional modules.

The Spectra IV IP Series Network dome systems incorporate all of the features and functions of Spectra IV (including simultaneous analogue), while allowing control and video transmission over an IP network via a built-in 100Base-TX network interface.

The Spectra IV IP dome system also features open architecture connectivity for third-party software recording solutions allowing integration into virtually any IP-based system. It’s also compatible with Integral Digital Sentry video management systems, and as with all Pelco IP camera solutions, Spectra IV IP is Endura EnabledTM to record, manage, configure, and view multiple live streams.

Supporting two simultaneous video streams that can be compressed in MJPEG, MPEG-4, or H.264 formats and across several resolution configurations and frame rates, the IP dome features a host of features. These include three Autofocus High Resolution Integrated Camera/Optics Packages of 23X, 27X, and 35X, on-screen compass and tilt display, Web Browser, Endura¨, full duplex bidirectional audio and an impressive sensitivity down to 0.00018 Lux (35X Models).

"Spectra IV Series domes are designed with ease of installation and maintenance in mind, and each dome system consists of three components: a back box, dome drive, and lower dome," says Buzz Coates, Norbain’s branded CCTV manager. "These three system components are interchangeable with other Spectra IV SL and Spectra IV SE dome systems, making retrofitting and application adjustments simple. Also, dome drives and lower domes can be removed and replaced reducing maintenance time."
