Reliance Secure Task Management (RSTM) has won a contract to provide an offender tagging service for all Scottish courts from May.
Reliance Secure Task Management (RSTM) has won a contract to provide an offender tagging service for all Scottish courts from May 2002. The Scottish Executive awarded the electronic monitoring service following a competitive tendering exercise. The contract represents another significant milestone in the development of RSTM as a leading provider in the criminal justice sector, say Bristol-based RSTM. This win follows other recent successes, such as the Sussex Police PFI partnership, worth œ90m over 30 years, as well as other warrant enforcement and custody assistant contracts. The Managing Director of RSTM, Tom Riall, says: ?This win builds on the success of a pilot scheme which RSTM has been involved with and running in Scotland for the last three years.” The contract will run for up to 5 years. It will involve the employment of more than 100 monitoring staff and field care officers across Scotland, and the opening of a new monitoring centre in East Kilbride, near Glasgow. RSTM will be working with equipment supplier, Elmotech.
