The new TV series of Fifth Gear on Five is to carry footage of a rising bollard being crash tested with a fully laden truck.

Broadcast will be on Monday October 31, at 8pm.

ATG Access are manufacturers of the SP1000 rising bollard designed, the makers report, to withstand an impact to protect against vehicular attack. The product has been re-tested for television at the MIRA testing facility in Nuneaton.

The bollard is installed with terrorist attack in mind, it is claimed, and has been tested (and passed a test) at this level.
