Wireless Home

by msecadm4921

The Scantronic i-on 16 wireless home security system is available through Norbain, electronic security product distributor.

Functions

A keypad measuring only 115x156x34mm can be situated near the entry/ exit point and, with an integral proximity reader, allows alarm setting by presenting a  tag; it also has the convenience of a quick-set function.

The keypad features clear status indicators for alert/fault, power and battery testing. The wireless technology is used the firms say for discreet efficiency and minimal disruption during installation and, because all the detection devices are wireless, the kit can be installed with a minimum of disturbance to the user and their decor, it is claimed.

Homes come in all shapes and sizes, so the i-on 16 will monitor and protect up to 16 independent radio zones around the property. Multi-zone protection gives users flexibility and ensures the system will continue to meet their needs in the future. It’s simple the firms say to allocate up to 16 unique user codes and logs up to 250 alarm events with event description, time and date details.

"The I-on 16 utilises Scantronic’s proven, class-leading radio system, with a new dual diversity ariel system for improved signal strength," says Hannah Broadhurst, Norbain’s Business Development Manager for Intruder Products. "The whole system has been very cleverly designed to minimise installation and bring users all the flexibility they need, whilst keeping it’s operation quick and simple."
