Canon expands its top tier partnerships with EET Europarts

by Amy

Canon Europe, world leader in imaging solutions, today announces that it has signed a specialist top tier distribution partnership with EET Europarts, one of Europe’s largest distributors of video surveillance products.

EET Europarts will join a growing number of top tier distributors as part of Canon’s on-going partner growth strategy. The pan-European partnership will see roll-out of Canon product sales through EET Europarts on a country-by-country basis over the coming months.

EET Europarts, a specialist distributor to the security market, will market Canon’s full range of network cameras <http://www.canon-europe.com/About_Us/Press_Centre/Press_Releases/Business_Solutions_News/2H12/Canon_offer_four_Full_HD_network_cameras.aspx>  including its recently launched Full HD network cameras. The new range includes the VB-H41, VB-H610VE, VB-H610D and VB-H710F which offer outstanding performance in low light conditions – meaning that they create a strong new revenue opportunity for Partners in the high security and highways sector where high performance in low light conditions is essential. The outstanding wide angle performance of the new range will also enable EET Europarts to target petrol stations and shopping centre environments where it is vitally important to be able to provide maximum security with a minimal number of cameras. Canon’s PRTZ function means that engineers are able to remotely configure the camera’s angle, zoom and focus for easy adjustment during commissioning or system reconfiguration. This reduces costs and that means Canon’s devices are especially suitable for applications where regular changes or configurations are required.

Canon has 70 years’ experience as a high quality lens manufacturer and is a market leader in digital SLR and broadcasting technologies. Canon has honed its EOS professional camera system for 25 years and it is incorporated into its HD network cameras, ensuring outstanding image quality and performance.

Stefan Nilsson, Head of EET Europarts surveillance business commented, “Canon’s devices are known for their exceptional lens and image quality. We are confident that over the coming months, as we begin selling Canon’s products in all European regions, we will be able to offer our customers a better range of cameras than ever before. We are pleased to become a top tier partner with Canon Europe.”

Julian Rutland, Visual Communication Products and Solutions Director, Canon Europe, said, “We’re dedicated to helping customers make the switch from analogue with high quality, intelligent imaging solutions. Our camera technology particularly shines in a number of security environments; from highways that need excellent low light performance, to the public sector that need easy maintenance, to the retail sector that needs good coverage in large open spaces. EET Europarts is one of the largest distributors of video surveillance solutions in Europe so it will greatly strengthen Canon’s European presence in the security market. We’re constantly looking to build relationships with new partners across Europe at all tiers as they play an important part in educating end users about our technology. This is a significant next step in that strategy.”

Canon is continually building its partnerships at both top tier and second tier levels. In 2013, there will be a particular focus on building out its second tier partners. Canon is attending Security Essen 2012 (hall 2.0, stand 540) from 25 – 28 September 2012 and will be meeting with potential partners at all levels.
