BSB season partner for 2022

by Mark Rowe

It’s ten years of association between TAS Racing and the security systems manufacturer Tyco when this season’s Bennetts British Superbike Championship gets under way over the Easter weekend in April at Silverstone.

A former title sponsor of TAS Racing, Tyco is now a secondary partner. For the 2022 BSB season, TAS Racing are looking to push the SYNETIQ BMW M1000RR machinery of Danny Buchan and Andrew Irwin into regular podium contention.

TAS Team Principal Philip Neill said: “The Tyco partnership has been a successful one over the years on many fronts, both for us as a team and Tyco as a business model, so we are obviously delighted to mark ten years with them in 2022. Some of the faces may have changed over the years at Tyco but their desire to support us as a team, and use the racing model to grow their business, is a fervent as ever and we look forward to working with them all again this season.”

And Gordon Morrison, Sales Director, Johnson Controls, UK&I, Access, and Video, pictured, said: “The Tyco brand has become very well-known over the past ten years with BSB, from fans to all those who are involved in the sport. I am delighted to lead the expansion of this support to TAS Racing going into the 2022 BSB season. As a company we welcome our customers to each round as hospitality VIP Guests, many then becoming great fans of the sport. We will expand our Technology Days this season where we will demonstrate our Access and Video Security Solution. There is a joint desire to win both on the track with Danny Buchan and Andy Irwin and in ensuring we support our customer to deliver winning solutions for their security, safety and smart buildings.”
