ISO 27001 renewal

by Mark Rowe

A translation and interpretation company, thebigword reports that its ISO 27001 certification for information security management has been renewed.

ISO 27001 is an internationally recognised certification of an organisation’s ability to meet industry standards in securing information. It requires adherence to a set of standards for people, processes and IT systems within an organisation. The audit covered information security software as well as staff “commitment and knowledge in securing client data.” Thebigword’s own in-house Translation Management Software (TMS) and IMS.Direct booking services were also praised for their integrated approach to information security.

Larry Gould, Chief Executive Officer of thebigword, said: “thebigword is a multi-national language service provider at the forefront not just in translation and interpreting, but in information security, as well, and we’re delighted that this has been recognised with the renewal of our ISO 27001 license. Information Security is vital for our clients in both the public and private sector and as an organisation we are absolutely committed to maintaining those standards at all times.
