PACOM and PAC at IFSEC

by Mark Rowe

PACOM and access control solutions manufacturer PAC are exhibiting together at this year’s IFSEC, from June 21 to 23, at ExCel, London. the firms are to showcase their product ranges, from multi-site integrated systems to single door controllers.

PACOM will be demonstrating two of its software solutions with some third party integrator offerings: PACOM GMS modular client-server global site management application for remote management of multiple sites and PACOM Unison a campus-based integrated security management platform.

PACOM GMS integrates alarms, access control, video, security and building automation into a single, remotely-accessible system; used over the years in banking, utility, transport and retail. PACOM GMS can be operated in house or outsourced to a third party, or a combination.

PACOM GMS will be displayed at IFSEC; with the PACOM 8000 series hardware, including the 8002 and 8003 integrated access control and alarm controllers. The PACOM 8002 is a controller certified to EN 50131 Grade 4 – the highest security standard for alarm security level and signalling. PACOM 8002 can therefore be used in the most demanding security uses, the makers say, including military, government and banking and finance. A range of peripheral devices will be displayed, including the PACOM PREMIUM TOUCH reader with its 3.2-inch touch screen which can be configured to display a logo or image as a company’s branding.

Offering open protocol management, PACOM Unison will also be displayed at IFSEC. PACOM Unison has been designed for universities, healthcare and campuses where local management is required. The open architecture of the management platform allows for integration of security and alarms, including intruder detection, access control, fire detection, video, intercom, assets and keys on one unified platform, the makers say.

PACOM has experience across a range of industries, including the banking sector, which has been acknowledged by its inclusion in CIO Review’s ‘20 Most Promising Banking Technology Solution Providers 2016’.

Exhibiting with PACOM will be PAC. This year PAC is launching a new service: Secure Hosting of Access Control Data. PAC’s cloud-based hosting service enables important site and keyholder information to be securely stored, with backup which allows end users to manage the operation of their system 24/7. No change is required to the type of connection at the customer site due to the tiers of access to the system.

PAC will also be displaying a selection of some of its latest product releases, including Oneprox GS3 HF panel readers; PAC 512IP two-door controller which communicates via IP, GSM/GPRS or Telephone Modem; the PAC 212 two-door standalone controller with enabled local programming of credentials; and the Over Air IP which enables users to choose the most appropriate form of communication for their needs.
