Curtain PIR detector

by Mark Rowe

RISCO Group’s two-way Wireless Curtain PIR detector is designed for use in residential and commercial rooms to protect windows and large glass doors. According to the makers, white light from sun and headlights blocked so that false alarms are reduced. The detector is installed on the wall by the window or with the supplied 90 degree bracket. Selectable coverage range is 6m or 3m; and the mounting height is 1.8m to 3m. Two-way wireless means messages are sent once and acknowledged, meaning fewer transmissions, for a shorter time, and less radio frequency traffic; hence longer battery life and no collisions between transmissions of difference devices. This can allow installation of more detectors in a small area.
