The Canadian high definition (HD) and megapixel video surveillance product firm, Avigilon opened its US headquarters in Texas to better serve American partners and customers.

Avigilon’s new office will be in Dallas. Users of the company’s products in North America include the Minnesota Twins’ Target Field, the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel in Albuquerque, and the Dallas Love Field Airport.

Alexander Fernandes, president and CEO at Avigilon, said: “The US market accounts for a healthy percentage of our revenue. It’s important to us to continue providing our American partners and customers with the best possible service. We chose Dallas because it is a business-friendly city. With access to an incredible talent pool and quality infrastructure it’s no wonder several major corporations call this city home.”

This newest location houses employees in sales, business development and customer support. The Dallas office will become the global headquarters for sales and will add customer support personnel over the next year. Bryan Schmode, executive vice president of global sales, will be based out of the Dallas office.
