Dallmeier has launched two new HD cameras: the DDF4320HD-DN and DDF4520HDV-DN.
The DDF4320HD-DN and the vandal-resistant DDF4520HDV-DN are hybrid domes, providing HD video in real-time (720p/30) using the H.264 codec and supporting resolutions up to 1.3 megapixel. Besides HD video over IP, the hybrids provide for a simultaneous analogue SD (PAL/NTSC) video output via BNC (CVBS).
The cameras offer Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and ability to capture images with colour fidelity and detail reproduction even in scenes with a range of contrast and strong backlighting, the German firm says. The low light performance also provides for clear and low noise images even in low light it is claimed.
Besides a set of automatic and manual image optimization functions and other setting options, the cameras feature automatic Day/Night operation supported by integrated ambient light sensing and a removable IR cut filter (ICR).
The cameras come with a fast (large maximum aperture) and motor-driven P-Iris megapixel varifocal lens (F1.2 – F2.3 / 3 – 9 mm) which allows for the adjustment and configuration of the zoom, focus and iris via the web browser. The novel P-Iris control technology, designed for adjustment of the best iris position (optimum aperture), thereby realises the makers say a significantly improved image quality compared to conventional DC auto iris lenses with contrast, clarity and enhanced detail resolution, with a greater depth of field.
