Dahua Technology, the Chinese manufacturer and supplier of video surveillance products based in Hangzhou, has introduced HDCVI Gen II cameras, offering high definition images over coax.
Tim Shen, Marketing Director at Dahua Technology, said: “HD over Coax 2.0 is a concept but also a fact that Dahua plays a leading role in HD analogue innovation. The inspiring market acceptance and feedback drive us to keep innovative to bring out more benefits to the market.”
HDCVI Gen II camera features Dahua’s in-house chipset DH5000, which combines Image Signal Processor (ISP) and TX chipset. The new cameras provide the makers say clear and crisp images at 1080p and 720p. The products offer wide dynamic range to better cope with places of strong lighting contrast. Meanwhile, Gen II inherits functions of previous HDCVI models, such as HD/SD switch and OSD menu.
As for camera types, besides the fixed lens cameras, the CVI family adds 2.7mm to 12mm motorized (-Z) and vari-focal (-VF) series. And as for motorized ones, Dahua adds that it has adopted an optimised algorithm to give faster and more accurate focus for instant and convenient adjustment. There are seven models in total in various designs, including eye-balls, IR-bullet and domes with IP66 waterproof and IK10 vandal-resistance against harsh outdoor conditions and sabotage.
The HDcctv Alliance HDCVI 2.0 standard is based on HDCVI. Dahua stresses that it offers plug ‘n’ play remote control of any camera from other manufacturers’ compliant digital recorders. “Dahua advocates interoperability, and the cooperation with HDcctv Alliance accelerates the development to HD, which, undoubtedly, helps our growing customer to enjoy more of the benefits of HD surveillance,” Shen added.
The latest HDCVI products will be displayed at Security China 2014, the exhibition in Beijing from October 28 to November 1. Visit www.dahuasecurity.com.
