Virtual Showcase

by Mark Rowe

IDIS has unveiled its latest video tech through a ‘Virtual Showcase’ for systems integrators, consultants and end-users. The company says that its ‘virtual booth’ replicates the exhibition experience, taking visitors on a tour of its latest products and technologies, with features and functions explained, and application examples included.

The soon to be launched IDIS AI Box for COVID-19 (DV-2232) appliance has been designed to support re-opening and safe return-to-workplace (RTW) strategies for a range of sectors. It includes applications for social distancing adherence, people counting, occupancy monitoring, crowd control, face detection, and reporting tools.

Visitors will also see the next IDIS Deep Learning Analytics, with 98 per cent accurate AI-assisted notification for object, intrusion and loitering detection, as well as tools that leverage metadata to enable more reliable detection, better identification, verification and more rapid investigation of incidents, the developers say.

The new Mobile Plus app offers the tools and functions of IDIS Solution Suite VMS into a user’s hands, wherever they are. Mobile Plus features a more user-friendly interface with split screens and portrait modes, and push alarm notifications for situational awareness plus remote management of single and multiple facilities, the firm says.

The virtual booth also showcases solutions for education, banking, and logistics, including the latest cameras and software.

Retail is a particular focus, with the company’s end-to-end solution for that sector now including: the 2MP micro dome camera with an adapted anti-IR reflection bubble for discreetsurveillance in all lighting; the 5MP Compact IR Super Fisheye, offering a low profile yet 360 degree coverage, meaning lower equipment, installation, and maintenance costs; and the new DV-1104 VA in the Box which provides retail analytics including people counting, heat mapping, and queue management. A plug-and-play add-on to DirectIP network video recorder (NVR) set ups, it allows centralised management of operational data from single or multiple stores and comes with zero licensing fees and no update costs.

James Min, pictured, Managing Director, IDIS Europe says: “This, our first ever virtual showcase, guides visitors through IDIS solutions that support return-to-workplace strategies, and show the video tech that’s set to transform control room and security operations. Even though we can’t currently attend events and exhibitions in person, we are pleased to be using new online platforms to connect with customers and showcase such exciting technology.”

Installers, consultants and end-users can register for the Showcase here. To request a personal tour email [email protected]. For more on IDIS products go to www.idisglobal.com.
