EEMA event

by Mark Rowe

EEMA, the European association for e-identity and security today announced a Call for Contributions for its 17th annual Information Security Solutions Europe (ISSE) conference and exhibition. This year’s IT security event will run in Paris on November 15 and 16, and will for the first time include a dedicated French track. The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 8.

EEMA’s remit is to educate and inform its network of member contacts on the latest developments and technologies, at the same time as enabling members of the association to discuss views and ideas. The association founded ISSE in 1999.

Last year in Berlin, more than 300 delegates participated in round tables, panel debates, workshops, seminars and keynote presentations, with contribution from speakers including the Chief Architect of Identity at Microsoft, Kim Cameron, representatives from the academic world such as the cryptographer Bart Preneel, as well as senior government dignitaries, including Klaus Vitt, the Federal Government Commissioner for Information Technology and State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Germany.

Chairman of EEMA and member of the ISSE 2016 programme committee, Jon Shamah, says: “We are excited to return to Paris for the seventeenth annual ISSE, which is going to be the biggest and best yet. We are looking for innovative and original research results, survey articles or case studies and position papers to present to ISSE delegates from across Europe and beyond.”

The Paris ISSE will also host a half-day track dedicated to the issues affecting organisations in France and EEMA is also welcoming contributions to participate (this track will be hosted in French).
