InfoSecurity Europe workshop

by Mark Rowe

Certes Networks is hosting a security workshop at InfoSecurity Europe, the annual information security event, alongside its partner Exclusive Networks and the Cloud Security Alliance on Wednesday, June 8 at London Olympia.

Digitisation, highly mobile workforces, advanced partner collaboration and ever more agile operations driven by evolved IT are all contributing to the revolution of businesses, the software firm says. However, widespread data breaches and large volumes of hacking incidents show that the security architecture is failing to keep up. The security workshop, led by Paul German, pictured, VP EMEA, Certes Networks, Tony Rowan, CTO, Exclusive Networks and Daniele Catteddu, CTO, Cloud Security Alliance, will discuss how modern organisations can mitigate risk. Topics include:

1. The factors driving the expansion of the enterprise attack surface and emerging techniques for reducing the attack surface and controlling risk
2. Segmentation and micro-segmentation for application isolation
3. The evolution of breach prevention and breach detection to breach containment
4. The modernisation of access control
5. The meaning of “software-defined” security and why you need it

Announced in October 2015, the distribution partnership with Certes Networks and Exclusive Networks has seen Exclusive Networks conduct an marketing events and lead generation activity for Certes Networks’ CryptoFlow application-aware security solutions. Certes Networks joined the Cloud Security Alliance, a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to promote the use of best practices for providing assurance within cloud computing, in September 2015 and has since worked with the Alliance to provide education on the uses of cloud computing to help secure all other forms of computing.

Paul German, VP EMEA, Certes Networks, says: “the security workshop at Infosecurity Europe is the perfect platform on which to communicate the alignment of the messages of Certes Networks, the Cloud Security Alliance and Exclusive Networks. The threats currently facing organisations are serious, and something needs to change. We will be discussing what organisations need to do to keep their data secure and to prepare for the event of a security breach.” Certes will be exhibiting on stand B125 with Exclusive Networks.
