ISO 9001:2015 certification

by Mark Rowe

Nittan Europe, the manufacturer of conventional and addressable fire detection products, has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 certification. This achievement marks Nittan’s ability to deliver quality products and systems to market.

ISO 9001:2015 is awarded for fulfilling criteria for a quality management system by an organisation, by ensuring higher level structure with an increased importance given to risk as compared to before. The certification is based on a number of quality management principles such as strong customer focus, motivation and implication of top management, process approach and continual improvement within an organisation.

Nittan Europe MD, Yoshiaki Kadokura, said: “Nittan’s achievement of ISO 9001:2015 certification is essential to prove our ability to deliver the highest quality products and systems to our loyal customers and the market. The ISO 9001 transition was a huge challenge for us, however, Nittan QA and Operation Departments committed fully to every step of the process and worked closely with the auditors, LPCB/BRE Global Ltd. Thanks to their dedicated work, it was completed successfully in a shorter timeframe than we or BRE anticipated.”

Nittan adds that it has adopted a very proactive approach for transitioning process as the ISO 9001:2015 will ensure that the firm continues providing its customers with consistent, quality products and services, whilst growing and evolving the business.
