Accolade for Axis

by Mark Rowe

The security contractor Axis Security was named Security Guarding Company of the Year at this year’s Security and Fire Excellence Awards – the fourth time it has achieved this industry accolade. The company can point to its turnover rising from £2.4m to about £80m in ten years, and an Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) score that has increased year-on-year, currently at 174 out of a possible 175.

The company says this award recognises commitment to furthering industry standards through its partnerships and high-level engagement with the police and SIA regulator, plus recent membership to the Institute of Customer Service; and its dedicated learning and development resource, the Axis Academy.

Jonathan Levine, Axis Group CEO, says: “Axis Security’s success is as a result of its people. Through benefits packages and training we have been able to demonstrate our officers’ value to us and in turn they support our vision of customer service excellence. Further, the management, compliance and HR teams all provide an exceptional service and should all be very proud of this award.”

David Mundell, Managing Director of Axis Security, says: “New high-profile contracts with Southbank Place, UCL, and CBRE’s Rathbone Square further cement us a leading supplier of security services. This award is a fantastic recognition of our hard work, and will provide additional motivation for us to strive to do even better next year.”
