A security contract with Springfields Fuels Ltd, which provides nuclear fuel, has gone to Mitie. This contract sees the total security management business arm of the FM contract company providing security operatives who work with the local emergency services to provide a safe, secure nuclear environment.

The contractor says that it will work with Preston-based Springfields Fuels’ management team to implement sector-specific technologies based on best practice from across it related portfolio. Bob Forsyth, managing director of Mitie’s total security management business said: “We’re delighted to be working with Springfields Fuels to provide specialist services to the critical security sector. This contract is testament to industry recognition of our understanding in this area.”
