Group commercial director

by Mark Rowe

Axis Group, the security guarding and cleaning services business, has promoted Gary Stanton to a new role of Group Commercial Director. The contractor says it’s part of restructuring plans. Gary will now manage both the security and cleaning commercial teams, which are to be aligned into a single department. The Group says this reflects its delivering its services as an integrated contract.

With over 14 years experience in the industry, Gary joined Axis Security in December 2009, and was promoted to Commercial Director in 2015. In his new role, Gary will report directly into Jonathan Levine, the Group CEO. Jonathan Levine says: “I’m pleased to welcome Gary into this new position and wish him well. We have already begun to see the success of the Group Commercial team, with the centralisation of all Bid Writing functions, and believe these changes can lead to further success and achievement of our commercial aims. Gary has exceptional experience both within our industry generally and within Axis Group, making him the ideal choice for this new position.”

Gary, pictured, says: “We are aligning the commercial goals of Axis Cleaning and Support Services and Axis Security, which I believe will lead to further sharing of best practice to the benefit of both companies. Customer service will be a key focus of mine in this new role. Axis Group joined the Institute of Customer Service last year as part of a Group-wide commitment to deliver best-in-class customer experience at every step of the customer journey. It is this ethos that I believe will drive growth in our competitive sectors.”
