London offices

by Mark Rowe

Octavian Security has opened new offices, in central and North London. The Nottingham-based firm now has presences in Farringdon, near the City of London, and Waltham Cross.

The contract guard firm says the offices will provide a base for business development, operational, supervisory and managerial staff.

The new branches will also service current contracts. These include three sites for UPS, three for iQ Student Accommodation, Prologis Developments, Goodman Logistics, The National Trust, Sunlight Services Group, and many sites for construction firm Laing O’Rourke.

Commercial director Tony Mellor says: “These new offices will allow us to maintain and improve on our service to existing clients, thanks to the convenience of being located close to them,” he explained.

“We are also certain that this step will open up more opportunities for additional blue chip contracts in the capital moving forward.”

Recently meanwhile Octavian became accredited as a supplier to the utilities sector.

The company was audited by Achilles Information for entry into their UVDB Verify Scheme – which represents the utilities industry – for its standards of practice, capacity to deliver, risk management and compliance with EU regulations.

“This new accreditation recognises the reliability of Octavian’s services and our capacity to deliver consistently,” said Tony Mellor.

“To be recognised by such a key community in the utilities sector is a great boost for us, and we are looking forward to working closely with more clients from the utilities sector in the future.”
