Stag acquired

by msecadm4921

Servest Multi Service Group, the facilities services contractor, has acquired Stag Security Services. The new business will have a combined annual turnover of £100m. Servest says it’s part of its strategy to become one of the top five multi service providers in the UK.

Stag Security was established in 2002 and provides manned and electronic security systems for construction, infrastructure and utilities sector contractors and blue-chip corporate clients in the UK including Balfour Beatty, Carillion and London’s Crossrail project. The business, which employs more than 600 staff nationally, recorded a turnover of £15m in 2011.

Graham Watson, managing director of Stag Security Services, said: “Joining Servest was a natural move for us because we recognised a company that operates with the same high standards of customer satisfaction and dedication to achieving excellence. We have worked hard to achieve a leading position within the security and facilities management industry and believe that working with Servest will enable us to achieve greater market penetration and increase our service offering.”

Rob Legge, Servest’s UK group chief executive officer added: “The acquisition of Stag Security is part of our ambitious growth strategy to reach a turnover of £300m by 2014 which we aim to achieve by a mixture of acquisition and organic growth. This is an exciting time for our company as it continues to evolve into one of the leading multi service providers in the UK.”

The purchase follows the acquisition of Turners Cleaning and Support Services in October last year and Servest’s 2008 purchase of Sherwood, a provider of on-site support services. Visit www.servest.co.uk
