Stag acquired

by Msecadm4921

Servest Multi Service Group, the facilities services contractor, has acquired Stag Security Services. The new business will have a combined annual turnover of ยฃ100m. Servest says itโ€™s part of its strategy to become one of the top five multi service providers in the UK.

ย

ย

Stag Security was established in 2002 and provides manned and electronic security systems for construction, infrastructure and utilities sector contractors and blue-chip corporate clients in the UK including Balfour Beatty, Carillion and Londonโ€™s Crossrail project. The business, which employs more than 600 staff nationally, recorded a turnover of ยฃ15m in 2011.

ย

Graham Watson, managing director of Stag Security Services, said: โ€œJoining Servest was a natural move for us because we recognised a company that operates with the same high standards of customer satisfaction and dedication to achieving excellence. We have worked hard to achieve a leading position within the security and facilities management industry and believe that working with Servest will enable us to achieve greater market penetration and increase our service offering.โ€

ย

Rob Legge, Servestโ€™s UK group chief executive officer added: โ€œThe acquisition of Stag Security is part of our ambitious growth strategy to reach a turnover of ยฃ300m by 2014 which we aim to achieve by a mixture of acquisition and organic growth. This is an exciting time for our company as it continues to evolve into one of the leading multi service providers in the UK.โ€

ย

The purchase follows the acquisition of Turners Cleaning and Supportย Services in October last year and Servestโ€™s 2008 purchase of Sherwood, a provider of on-site support services. Visit www.servest.co.uk
