OPTEX will be exhibiting its newly launched intrusion detection sensors at Security Essen, the German trade exhibition from Tuesday to Friday, September 27 to 30; and show that when integrated with third party security systems they help to provide 360-degree protection. A new package including OPTEX’s people counter and third party analytics software will be previewed at the show.
The sensor technology manufacturer will be showcasing a number of live demos to demonstrate how its range of presence and intrusion detection sensors integrate with third party security systems. A whole range is available: from connecting OPTEX battery powered PIRS to a wireless alarm panel, to integrating IP intrusion detectors to CCTV systems.
For high-end security applications, a demo will showcase how OPTEX’s fibre optic PIDS (Perimeter Intrusion Detection System) and laser scanners are integrated with the latest ela-soft GEMOS Software – a Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) system. By doing so, the overarching building and security management system provides the end-user with control of intrusion events in and outside the building giving a full overview, the product firm says.
For building and asset protection, OPTEX’s new high-resolution laser sensors can detect and locate people or objects in all lighting the firm says. The speed of detection is so great that even the fastest runner in the world would be detected, the firm says.
OPTEX will be also presenting its people counting sensor with its new capability to include third party analytics software that enables retailers, museums, and leisure outlets to have multi-directional counting data; the in and out count allowing analysis of the footfall or occupancy level. This capability is provided through a download, where users have a 30 day free trial before selecting from one of three packages. The sensor and the software combined provides a way to implement people counting for shops and premises that do not have a dedicated analytics software system.
