Notts locksmith exhibition

by Mark Rowe

Allegion (formerly Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies) is exhibiting at this year’s Locksmiths’ exhibition in Nottingham.

Experts will be on stand for the full two day show, demonstrating products from Allegion’s Briton and CISA ranges, including a selection of cylinders and locks and one of the newest products in the firm’s portfolio – the Briton 9360 Electronic Digital Code Lock.

The manually programmable Briton 9360 Electronic Digital Code Lock has been designed for applications in multi-occupancy buildings and has been introduced with retrofit in mind, the makers say.

Although the system can be used as a new installation, the electronic lock has the same fixing holes as the majority of mechanical digital locks enabling access control systems to be upgraded.

The battery powered lock can operate up to 80 user codes of four to six digits. The unit does not require removal to change access combinations and codes can be added easily for increased security. In addition, the system can accommodate has up to ten ‘one time’ user codes and a key override as standard which ensures a prompt and non-invasive emergency opening.

Paul Cundy, pictured, Unitary Sales Leader for Allegion said: “The Locksmiths’ exhibition provides an opportunity for us to talk to customers and other industry professionals about products, legislation and sector issues. Having extended our range of manually programmable digital locks, we are pleased to be able to demonstrate the very latest products on the stand this year, and look forward to seeing some of the other technological advances fellow exhibitors are bringing to market.”

The Locksmiths’ exhibition runs at the East Midland’s Conference Centre in Nottingham on March 8 and 9; visitors can enjoy product demonstrations, training sessions and show only discounts.
