The security product manufacturer Allegion has appointed Phil Mead as Area Specification Manager for London and South East.

With more than 25 years of experience in the access control and electronic door industry, Mead has been appointed specifically to oversee site visits and surveying.

In his new capacity, he will meet with architects, specifiers and consultants to promote the company’s range of products in tenders for new build and renovation projects. Additionally, he will meet with architects to complete educative presentations, including Allegion’s recently launched CPD session, ‘Door Hardware and Inclusive Design.’

Paul Barrows, demand creation leader UK at Allegion said: “With experience on prestigious projects such as the Houses of Parliament, and involvement in the infrastructure for the 2012 Olympics, we are pleased to welcome Phil to our specification team in the UK.”

And Mead said: “I’m excited to be joining such a renowned manufacturer and also to be working so closely with industry professionals. The CPD sessions have been a real success so far, so it is great to be delivering these sessions, as well as sharing our inspec tools with architects, specifiers and consultants.”
