The security composite panel manufacturer Securiclad has appointed a new architectural technician. Holly Yeaman is to provide technical support to clients, including assisting in project specification, product compliance and the design process. Securiclad’s product is designed and manufactured to withstand determined attempts at forced entry with tools such as drills, jig saws, disc grinders and sledgehammers, according to to Loss Prevention Standard (LPS) 1175 Security Rating (SR) 4. It is also approved for Government use by the Centre for the Protection Of National Infrastructure (CPNI).

According to the makers it’s suitable for protection of areas containing servers, sensitive data, control equipment, hazardous substances, high value items and pharmaceuticals; and the product is used across numerous sectors, including data centres, utilities, healthcare and cargo.

Holly – who is fully conversant in AutoCAD and Revit Architecture and holds a Building Project Management degree from Northumbria University – will assist in the provision of technical drawings and schematics to contractors, specifiers and end users. She has previously worked in the security sector, as a contract co-ordinator for G4S. Securiclad says that its panels can be used in new buildings or retro-fitted to an existing site, and is pre-finished, negating the need for wet trade requirements. It has internal and external applications and can be used to form a standalone ‘room’, kiosk or partition, suitable it is claimed for use in co-location premises.
Made at Securiclad’s facility in North Tyneside, the system is delivered across the UK and is available as a turnkey solution, via approved and certified nominated installers.
