PTZ domes

by Mark Rowe

Five of Samsung’s PTZ domes have been re-designed and are now smaller, lighter and more modern looking than their predecessors, the makers say.

Peter Ainsworth, Senior Product Manager for Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd, said: “Our design engineers are always looking at ways to improve the aesthetics of our products and the redesigned domes certainly have a more modern look. Being smaller and lighter, they are also easier to install.” The five domes collectively offer a solution for any application where a PTZ dome is required, the company says. Customers can choose from models, for internal or external use, with the option of 27x or 37x zoom. The top of the range models come with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), which makes them suitable the company adds for locations where there may be strong contrasting lighting.

The new part numbers of the redesigned models are:

SCP-2271H (which supersedes SCP-2270H)
SCP-2271 (which supersedes SCP-2270)
SCP-2371H (which supersedes SCP-2370H)
SCP-3371H (which supersedes SCP-3370H)
SCP-3371, pictured (which supersedes SCP-3370)

As is the case with all Samsung professional security products, the new PTZ models are supplied with full support services from Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd, including free system design and technical support and full three-year warranty.
