Revader Security at IFSEC

by Mark Rowe

Visitors to IFSEC 2014 can see live demonstrations of Revader Security’s updated range of PTZ and 360 degree rapid re-deployable cameras.

The Revader models, which will be on show on Wavestore’s stand D1350, are the makers say designed to be installed in minutes and take into account that they may quite often need to be located in harsh sites without power source. Which is why, for example, Revader Transit models can be powered by a 12v battery, whilst Revader’s ‘miniature’ Tuu model utilises PoE (Power over Ethernet). Defence-engineered in London, all Revader products are constructed in a ballistics-resistant housing, rated at the IP67 technical standard and are designed for use in any site.

Revader says that its re-deployable cameras provide customers with the choice to capture D1 resolution images via a 36x zoom PTZ camera or HD images with a 360 degree camera.

All models offer the potential for 2TB of video storage, and transmission through Wi-FI, Ethernet 3G and 4G connectivity. They all also use Wavestore’s Linux-based VMS (video management software) which, among features, includes the ability to de-warp 360 degree images. This allows operators to view de-warped images created from the recorded warped image and then control a ‘virtual’ PTZ function to track any activity.

Stuart Caldecourt, Director of Revader Security said: “Demand for high specification, rapid re-deployable video solutions continues to increase and we are therefore delighted to have the opportunity to work alongside our sister company, Wavestore, at IFSEC to demonstrate how governments, local authorities and police across Europe can look to work smarter by reacting quickly and effectively to combat activity in criminal and terrorist hotspots. We anticipate that our 360 degree models will, in particular, attract considerable attention as they can significantly reduce the number of cameras and personnel needed to monitor an area without any blind spots. All models are however, provided with all the component parts of a plug and play style, re-deployable solution, which has the means to record, store and transmit the captured images. Furthermore, the rugged construction of Revader’s products enables their use in an ever-widening spectrum of applications.” Visit www.revader.com.
