Vista at IFSEC

by Mark Rowe

The CCTV brand Vista at this year’s IFSEC in May launched a number of products, including their new IP and analogue HD ranges.

Exhibiting in their own right for the first time in 2013, Vista demonstrated end-to-end IP solutions based on the new IP product portfolio, including HD 1080p cameras, NVRs and client viewing platforms.

Once feature was Event Boost Technology, officially launched at IFSEC. Boost enables Vista’s VK2 IP cameras to automatically increase the number of images per second streamed and recorded when an event occurs. This means a customer can record continuously at low frame rate but, when an event occurs, the camera automatically increases up to 25ips 1080p HD video. This the makers say reduces the total amount of network bandwidth and NVR storage required to support HD network cameras as the VK2 cameras only require higher network bandwidth during an event.

The company also introduced a new range of HD analogue products including DVRs and cameras. The latest generation of HD analogue products all boast over 25 per cent image quality increase of recorded images compared to D1, it is claimed, and are fully backwards compatible with existing analogue technologies.

Mark Pritchard, Divisional Director of Vista, says: “We had a great opportunity this year to really showcase our fantastic new product portfolio. Irrespective of IP or analogue technology, Vista is a provider of HD CCTV that offers both simplicity and functionality across the entire range. Highlights at the show were undoubtedly the Boost feature, cited by many visitors as ‘one of the best features they’ve seen in a long time’. Also popular was the 960h range as the improved video quality and backwards compatibility makes it an easy and powerful upgrade path for analogue users.”
