At IFSEC 2015, Seagate offered visitors to its stand the chance to win a prize – a Citroen Berlingo van or its cash equivalent. While visitors were shown demos of the brand’s latest Surveillance HDD technology, some 506 enter the competition. The winner is Nathanael Owen, technical director and partner at the UK security systems installer Connected Systems, who has accepted the cash prize of £13,000. He said: “We first became aware of the competition through a mailshot from one of our distributors – Dynamic CCTV – and as regular users of Seagate drives we decided to visit their stand at the IFSEC. I’m delighted to have won the contest and will be using the funds to help my company make the move to larger premises and expand the business to cope with demand.”
And Andrew Palmer, UK sales manager at Seagate said: “We’re pleased to see the prize go to good use and help a growing, resourceful business. I hope the prize helps Nathanael and his partner further develop their company and enjoy many years of success to come.”
When asked about his experience with Seagate drives, Mr Owen said: “Over the past five years, we have found the Seagate surveillance class drives to be an extremely reliable for our surveillance systems. Since we began using them we have noticed a significant drop in the number of hard drive related system failures.”
