IP cameras

by Mark Rowe

The new Dallmeier IP cameras of the 4920 series offers images in Full-HD quality, and, according to the German makers, convenient configuration and installation.

Whether as box camera or in a vandal-resistant dome housing, the DF4920HD-DN and DDF4920HDV-DN use a 5 megapixel CMOS image sensor and provide Full-HD video in real-time (1080/p) using the H.264 codec. The 4920 series offers Remote Back Focus Control, which allows for a precise remote focusing over the network. With one click, the ideal focus range is recognised automatically (One-Push Autofocus). If needed, an installer can precisely adjust by using manual fine-tuning. A Digital Image Shift function provides for a digital fine alignment of the image section via a web browser, without having to modify the camera itself, for straightforward installation, the company adds. Depending on the requirements, the camera can be supplied with 12V DC or operated via Power over Ethernet which allows for quick cabling and commissioning, the manufacturers add.
