Mitsubishi Electric, Winsted at IFSEC

by Mark Rowe

Mitsubishi Electric at IFSEC 2014 showed the latest from its Seventy Series range of display wall systems, used in control rooms. A 2 x 2 display of its newly-launched 78 Series 62” LED-lit DLP cubes was demonstrated alongside a range of control room furniture from Winsted. Featuring Mitsubishi’ air-cooled LED light source, Mitsubishi’s rear projection control room offers up to 100,000 hours of continuous, maintenance-free operation, the firm says.

Also on show at IFSEC was an LCD-based tiled display using Mitsubishi’s latest 55inch super narrow bezel LCD, the LM55P1. The LM55P1 delivers the same as Mitsubishi’s DLP display wall cubes, but in a much slimmer footprint, for compact control rooms or monitoring suites where space is limited. Also shown was the latest version 6.1 of Mitsubishi Electric’s D-Wall screen controller software that enables users to create and manage display walls.
