Siemens has appointed Dr Andrew Robinson as Managing Director of Siemens Building Technologies for UK and Ireland. He took the role on March 31 and brings with him experience in the technology and construction industries.

Having worked within Siemens since 1998, he has held a number of positions gaining technical, commercial and programme management experience in the UK, Germany, Sweden, Canada and the USA.

Recent projects in the UK include: the Congestion Charge, Thameslink, Heathrow T1/T2/T4, Gatwick North/South Terminals, Royal Mail World Distribution Centre and the TNT Post UK End-to-End. His previous role of managing the Siemens Logistic and Airport Solutions business involved the safe provision of landmark projects, the company adds.
