IP technical support

by Mark Rowe

Redvision, the UK manufacturer of the X-SERIES PTZ dome cameras and Redcop rapid deployment systems, has welcomed Ray Butcher as IP Technical Support Engineer. This specialist appointment is a result of Redvision’s introduction of the IP-based RVX-IP30 X-SERIES PTZ dome camera range and sales in UK and export markets.

Ray has IT, telecommunications and network system experience in large, multi-national companies and SMEs. His previous responsibilities have included technical project management and the implementation and delivery of network solutions.

Paul Hucker, MD of Redvision said: “Ray’s IP expertise is invaluable to us. Part of his responsibility is to introduce and maintain SDK integrations between our recently launched RVX-IP30 range and leading manufacturers’ control equipment and video management software (VMS) systems. Ray also has a pre and post sales technical support responsibility for IP products and systems, to support our customers’ network CCTV applications. Many of our products are installed on sites where IT staff need access to specialist IP support when required.”

And Ray added, “I am excited to be working for such an advanced company. The recent move to larger premises has allowed Redvision to build a new demonstration and training suite. We now have many leading CCTV manufactures’ DVR, NVR and VMS control systems operating with our cameras. This enables us to provide a first tier, technical support and trouble-shooting service, saving our customer’s time and ensuring installations go smoothly. Our integration programme is increasing business, as we work with more and more manufacturers’ products.”
