A contract to provide strategic Application Development and Support capability for the Home Office Biometrics (HOB) Programme has been awarded to Mastek. It is let under the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Digital Outcomes and Specialists (DOS) Framework. This follows the recent DevOps contract also awarded to Mastek for delivering Platform and support services to the programme.

Mastek says that it will develop solutions to help rationalise existing biometric services and maximise the potential of technology in delivering law enforcement and immigration user requirements. Users of this service may include those in law enforcement, immigration, Border Force and HMPO staff who need to use biometrics in a variety of situations and locations including custody suites, mobile locations, borders, passport offices and visa application centres.

Prahlad Koti, Managing Director – Mastek UK says: “Transforming services through technology and improving the user journey is at the core of what we do. We are committed to using our expertise to help the Home Office ensure national security and citizen safety.”
