Ring Stick Up Cams

by Mark Rowe

New from Secured by Design (SBD) member company Ring are the Ring Stick Up Cams. They’re cameras for indoor and outdoor use.

Ring Stick Up Cam Wired and Ring Stick Up Cam Battery feature motion detection, 1080p full HD resolution, night vision, two-way talk, a siren and a wide viewing angle. Stick Up Cam Wired is powered through a micro-USB power supply or by Power over Ethernet (PoE), which gives users a connection to the Internet as well as power.

The Stick Up Cams have attained SBD’s Police Preferred Specification after being accredited by a technical panel. The full range of Ring’s SBD accredited products can be viewed at http://www.securedbydesign.com/members/ring/.

Jamie Siminoff, Chief Inventor and Founder of Ring, said: “We’re excited to continue expanding the Ring of Security with Ring’s first Indoor/Outdoor cameras. Ring Stick Up Cams give neighbours maximum flexibility to position the cameras anywhere they want, regardless of power availability, to secure every corner of their property. Every decision Ring makes is driven by our mission to reduce crime in neighbourhoods; it’s important to have multiple layers of home security, and the Stick Up Cam line offers affordable, easy-to-install security for both inside and outside of the home”.

SBD Development Officer, Doug Skins, said: “Police forces across the country are focusing on the importance of crime and we are always pleased to embrace products of a high standard that reduce crime and keep communities safe. Camera-based devices, such as those provided by Ring, can play an important part in crime detection and prevention. They help to deter criminal activity and provide police with a resource which can help identify people who are acting suspiciously outside homes.”

The Ring Stick Up Cam Wired is available to purchase on Ring.com and Amazon.co.uk from Friday, November 16, with the Ring Stick Up Cam Battery available later.
