Cyber

Consultancy hires

by Mark Rowe

Bridewell Consulting, a specialist cyber security and data privacy consultancy, has appointed Dr Barry Hearn and Ceri Charlton as associate directors and Jean Carlos as senior security consultant.

All three hires come at a time when Bridewell has been experiencing rapid growth, the company says. In the last year, staff numbers have more than doubled from 12 to 28. The appointees bring more than 40 years’ experience in cyber security and a portfolio of accreditations.

Hearn has been responsible for global security risk for a large multinational insurance broker; and Charlton, pictured, has been responsible for security within Capita’s professional service division. Carlos has had experience of assisting organisations to become compliant across security certifications such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework and Cyber Essentials Plus.

Anthony Young, Bridewell Consulting Director, says: “The demand for experienced cyber security consultants has never been greater, so I am delighted to welcome our new appointees to Bridewell. We are experiencing tremendous growth and all three hires bring valuable expertise to our business. We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional experience to all our customers and these appointments will ensure that we continue to deliver and improve on our services.

“Bridewell is establishing itself as a strong player in the cyber security market,” says Hearn. “I have been really impressed by the leadership team and portfolio of services and am excited to be on board.”

Carlos added: “Bridewell has an excellent reputation in the market and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to deliver exceptional information security with such a great team of people.”
