RFID Days

by msecadm4921

Already happening in the US, one-day RFID Europe conferences are aimed at educating users, systems integrators and resellers about Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology and the various solutions available in the market today – and how it will impact their businesses.

Is your company ready to explore the next generation of RFID solutions for your business and customers? Do you want to be at the forefront with new solutions such as wireless commerce, smart packaging, item-level tracking or advanced security and authentication? If so, you are invited to RFID conferences being held across Europe in October. Locations and dates are: London, Sheraton Hotel, Heathrow on Monday October 18; Brussels, Sheraton Hotel on Thursday, October 21; and Munich, Sheraton Arabella on Wednesday, October 27.

Sponsored by Texas Instruments RFID Systems, and organised by RFID International with other industry RFID firms, the conferences allow you to explore the potential impact RFID can have on your business, the organisers say. During these one-day events, you’ll get a view of new technologies and learn about applications that are reshaping this industry – and how they will impact you and your customer’s business. Speakers will address the overall business case for RFID and discuss how enterprise users, integrators and value-added resellers can improve their businesses through the use of RFID.

The conference will explore how RFID can have a major impact in industry sectors including access and authentication; contactless payment; supply chain and logistics; retail, from production to payment; and manufacturing quality and productivity.

Sessions intro

Sessions include an introduction to RFID technology, various types of tags, industry standards including EPC (Electronic Product Codes), EPC network services, RFID readers and antennas, Active versus Passive tags, using RFID with other technologies such as wireless LAN, EAS etc, linking to temperature, pressure and other sensors, software solutions for real-time enterprise solutions and a road map to developing a RFID pilot programme to verify optimum operation and results. There will also be informal discussions of real business applications with a panel, plus industry networking sessions. You can register on-line now for any of the events – and review the programme.
