An order of US $7m to provide networked Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) and Enterprise Management Suite software to one of Mexico’s largest banks has gone to Canadian manufacturer March Networks.
The bank is using the 4000 Series DVR systems and Enterprise Management Suite software in a two-year rollout. The 16-camera platform and software were selected following a competitive process that defined reliability, video performance and centralized DVR system management as top requirements, reports March Networks. The 4000 Series DVRs feature an embedded Linux operating system and an internal UPS to support reliability, even in areas prone to electrical power fluctuations, according to the firm. The bank will use the Enterprise Management Suite to control all of its remotely located DVRs and will use the software to monitor hard-drive status, network bandwidth usage, and overall system performance within this large-scale deployment.
What they say
“We are extremely pleased to be partnering with one of Mexico’s leading banks as they rapidly adopt IP-based video,” states Peter Strom, president and CEO, March Networks. “This significant win in favor of March Networks comes as a result of a focused effort to identify important system performance features and deliver on customer requirements.”
