HK Award

by msecadm4921

TeleEye Group received the 2010 Award of Excellence in Intellectual Capital Management from the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Intellectual Property Department.

The award aims to recognise the Hong Kong-based firm’s commitment in the Intellectual Capital Management Consultancy Programme. Intellectual Capital Management is described as a set of tools to assist the enterprise to identify the intangible assets, access the values to the stake-holders and reduce the risks of intellectual capital infringement. The Intellectual Property Department launched the Intellectual Capital Management Consultancy Programme in March 2009. It aims at assisting the enterprise to identify new business potential for continuous development. In the second phase some 25 organisations had been selected and awarded to recognise their commitment in the programme. TeleEye is one of the 25.

The Honourable Gregory So, Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, officiated at a presentation ceremony on January 21. Prof Cliff Chan received the award on behalf of the group. He said: “TeleEye is a pioneer in developing innovative video surveillance products. Innovation, knowledge and strong brand are the fundamentals to TeleEye’s success in the global market. Intellectual Capital Management has helped us to analyse the knowledge areas that we should focus on to create competitive advantages that are shared by everyone to create an efficient organisation. Our staff, partners and customers take pride and satisfaction in the innovation process. How knowledge is created, selected, shared and used among our staff and partners is becoming a corporate culture that forms a natural part of being a member of TeleEye.”
