MPEG-4 DVR

Mitsubishi Electric, security manufacturer has introduced the DX-TL308E MPEG-4 digital video recorder to its range of digital security products.

The new DX-TL308E is described as a compact eight channel DVR that uses the latest MPEG-4 compression providing 24/7 surveillance and real time recording up to 200 frames per second.

The recorder can it is claimed be installed into virtually any location.  With a removable front panel for HDD access, up to two high-capacity HDDs are accommodated inside this unit.

It also supports multiple protocols: pan, tilt and zoom control of PTZ dome cameras. The DX-TL308E comes with a new GUI design that makes set up and operation simple, according to the makers. All operations can be performed including selecting and copying to an external USB device for storage or evidence purposes via a mouse.  The 308E is also equipped with motion detection, time and date search facility. It can be connected to Mitsubishi’s DX-KB5 keyboard. Mitsubishi says that all its DVRs are suitable for a range of applications including retail, banking, corporate and the public sector. They all feature a 24 month warranty, with technical support available from Mitsubishi’s in-house service division for added peace of mind.

Rob Clark, Mitsubishi said “The DX-TL308E complements our existing range of DVRs ensuring that we are able to offer a solution to meet the requirements of installers, integrators and of the end-user."
