Infosec date in July

by Mark Rowe

The annual information security event in London, Infosecurity Europe, will go ahead from Tuesday to Thursday, July 13 to 15 at Olympia in west London (pictured – 2019 event), says the exhibition organiser Reed Exhibitions Ltd. The event was postponed from its original June dates after the UK Government’s recently announced timetable out of the winter lockdown.

That means that the show is running in the same week at the three-day IFSEC electronic and physical security product and services exhibition across the city at Excel in Docklands, and the two overlap on IFSEC’s day two and three.

Nicole Mills, Exhibition Director at Infosecurity Group said: ‘Just as with every other large-scale event scheduled for this year, our plans are subject to this roadmap progressing as outlined, with the majority of Covid restrictions in England lifting on 21 June. We will of course continue to closely monitor the situation.’

Reed stresses that it will be taking all the appropriate steps and measures to ensure that Infosecurity Europe 2021 is as covid-secure as possible and will provide full details on this in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, the organisers are providing virtual content on June 8 to 10, the original date for the physical show. Nicole Mills adds: ‘We’re very much looking forward to bringing together the information security community in-person once again, with an engaging and inspiring exhibition and conference programme that will spark ideas and conversations, enable people to do business, and help to drive the industry forward. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved for their continued support and patience during the last year.’

The summer 2020 show was run online due to the social distancing rules set in the UK from when the pandemic struck in March. As for other shows in the series, the Dutch one is due in November; and the Danish one at the end of September.
