The facilities management services contractor OCS Group UK Ltd is the first ProtectED Trusted Partner organisation.
Briefly, ProtectED is a membership scheme of universities that aim to raise student safety, security and well-being standards across UK higher education. OCS will support ProtectED in safeguarding the student experience, sharing insight and promoting improved practice.

The November print edition of Professional Security magazine most recently featured the scheme, when the head of security at the University of Salford – one of the founder members of ProtectED – Trevor Jones spoke at a ProtectED webinar on campus security. Trevor is a past speaker at Professional Security magazine’s ST Manchester series of events, and chairs the association of university chiefs of security, Aucso. As that implies, ProtectED is about benchmarking an institution not only in terms of the physical security of students – and staff and visitors – but their more general, financial and mental, well-being.
